A preoperative examination is required for all patients undergoing surgery. Please bring the following with you when you come to the Shiley Eye Institute:
During your preoperative appointment, our nurse practioner will review the medications that you can safely take prior to surgery. Please do not make any changes to your current medications until advised by your physician or nurse practioner.
PATIENT ALERT: The crosswalk between parking lot P760 and Shiley is open to use. As a safety reminder, when walking to your appointment, we ask that you please follow detour signs marking footpaths along construction areas. The walkway to access the surgery 3rd floor elevator is also now open. Best to park in the Athena Parking Structure and plan additional travel time..
Permanent closure of P760 (in front of Shiley Eye Institute) is targeted for January 2025. Park in the Athena Parking Structure in patient parking on floors 1-3. Please allow additional time when arriving for your appointment.
